Nestled on the slopes of Hualalai, an active volcano on the Big Island of Hawaii, Kona Earth is a 26-acre family farm dedicated to producing exceptional 100% Kona coffee. Emmy award winners Steve and Joanie Wynn, who left behind their successful Hollywood careers, founded Kona Earth during the pandemic, seeking a new adventure. With Steve’s background in vineyard farming and Joanie’s expertise in production management, they passionately oversee every aspect of the farm, from fieldwork to business operations, ensuring each bean reflects their commitment to quality and sustainability.

The Island Estate Series

Much like other renowned beverages hailing from specific regions (like champagne, for example), these offerings possess distinct character and personality, setting them apart not just from other coffees across the world, but even within Hawaii itself. Influenced by climate, rainfall and surrounding florals, these single-origin estate selections stand out as some of the most intriguing of our Hawaii-grown coffees. Why Kona

Far above the hubbub of Ali’i Drive, nestled along the slopes of Hualalai and Mauna Loa—the world’s largest active volcano—lies a curious region of Kona, Hawaii: The Kona Coffee Belt. This area, stretching anywhere from 26 to 30 miles wide depending on who you ask, is a tiny haven of lush mountainside that creates coffee as rare and rich as the volcanic island soil it’s grown in. Remarkably, less than 1% of the world’s coffee is grown in Hawaii, making Kona coffee exceptionally rare and sought after. Authentic Kona coffee offers a distinct taste and body unlike any other. Originating from the Kona Typica variety, these coffees are celebrated for their deep chocolatey richness, balance, and unparalleled smoothness.
