Been drinking this since the 80's. We exclusively drink Hawaiian coffee.

    Meh

Really didn't care for this at all. It was a birthday gift. It has a Starbucks burnt undertaste I can't get rid of no matter how I brew it. Aeropress so far as been best on a C40 grinder with no steep time - just throw in stir 10x and press - letting it steep brings out the burnt ugliness of Starbucks. In my moccamaster it's eithrer too bitter (half-speed drip basket switch) or a bit sour (full speed drip basket switch). I can't see tightening the grind as it would be bitter - coarser would be MORE sour. I'm using a Fellow Ode Gen2 at #8 for 500ml at 18:1. For what I taste in the cup there is NO WAY this is worth $70/12oz. No way. Tasted none of the notes listed on bag - none. I have had Kona before and this is not what I am familar with. Also, no roast date on bag - sus it's even fresh and bag could be squeezed and it breathed - no vac button. Yeah not sold. Would not recommend. Maybe the light roast is better? Doubt it.
