A rising star in a rising sport; Summer Macedo hails straight from the mecca of surfing itself. Born and raised in Maui, Hawaii, the sport has always been a huge part of Macedo’s life. At 19 years old, she was selected as a Wild Card on the WSL circuit and was featured on major outlets such as NBC’s Sports “On Her Turf.” In June 2022, Macedo won her first Qualifying Series at the Women’s QS 1000 Layback Pro Rio in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. When she’s not in the water, she’s likely found on the beaches with an instrument in one hand and a cup of coffee in the other.
